The Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Wood Occupations is designed to assess occupational competence in the workplace. Learners are required to demonstrate advanced skills, knowledge and experience in construction site carpentry. This NVQ provides formal recognition of practicing as a site carpenter
Course Content & Units
All mandatory units to be completed:
1. Conforming to General Health, Safety and Welfare in the Workplace
2. Moving, Handling and Storing Resources in the Workplace
3. Conforming to Productive Working Practices in the Workplace
Including 1 Optional Unit from Pathways 2 or 3
Industry Recognition & Benefits
This L2 Diploma qualifies the holder to apply for the Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) blue card.

CSCS CARDS
If you want to work in construction, you are going to need a CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) card providing assurance that you have acquired the necessary level of knowledge to operate safely on a construction site. It demonstrates that individuals have undertaken appropriate training and assists in demonstrating compliance with health and safety regulations. The holder of an NVQ will be able to apply for a CSCS card at the appropriate level.
